The funeral transport vehicle that we introduced in Somalia was appreciated. In order to increase the trade volume between the Republic of Turkey and Somalia, we went to Somalia with a trade delegation from the Republic of Turkey.
We promoted EOS Ambulance products to potential buyers in Somalia. The majority of the Somalia delegation showed great interest in our funeral transport vehicle.
They stated that there were some difficulties in the funeral ceremonies due to the fact that the majority of the Somali people are Muslims and the country’s hot climate. The biggest problem was that the Somali delegation informed us that there were problems in Somalia during the burial of the corpse in accordance with Islam and then its transfer to the cemetery.
The fact that our funeral transport vehicle can carry 4 corpses and that it’s air conditioner eliminates the problems that may arise during the funeral were the things that the Somali delegation liked the most. We informed the Somali delegation, who wanted to determine a budget for our Panel Van type funeral transport vehicle, that the vehicle they could purchase with the most appropriate budget would be the Ford Transit funeral transport vehicle. They also evaluated other brands and models of vehicles and decided on the Ford Transit Funeral Transport vehicle.
In order to measure the use of the funeral transport vehicle and the attitude of the Somali people towards the funeral transport vehicle, they decided to purchase 3 Ford Transit funeral transport vehicles in the first stage. Funeral transport vehicles will be made available in Mogadishu, the capital of Somalia.
A consensus was reached on 25.04.2021 for the order approval of 3 vehicles and the signing of the contract with the Somali trade delegation. Our funeral transport vehicle will be manufactured and ready for transportation in 4 weeks following the order confirmation and the signing of the contract.
With this commercial cooperation with Somalia, we think that there is an opportunity to introduce and sell our funeral transport vehicle to other Muslim countries in Africa.
